Here is a quick run-down of our timeline for deadlines and other information:

  • January 2017 – Ceremony RSVP and graduate speaker application form open for all participants
  • March 1, 2017 - Graduate Speaker Application Deadline
  • April 21, 2017 - Cap and Gown Order Deadline (for all: Grads, Faculty and Stage Party)
  • April 21, 2017 – Ceremony RSVP & Exemption Requests Deadline (for all: Grads, Faculty and Stage Party)
  • May 5, 2017 – Pre-Commencement Ceremony Mixer
  • May 6, 2017 – 2017 WGU Washington Commencement at 10am!


Beyond your participation in the ceremony, we encourage you to join the conversation online to share your experience with your classmates, friends, and family. Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Follow @WGUWashington for updates and use the hashtag #WGUWA17 to share your own thoughts and photos about your commencement experience.

  • Keep an eye out for commencement-focused content from the WGU Washington’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts and subscribe to our blog, where we will post about commencement related activities and information.

  • Tell us when you arrive at the ceremony with a tweet like this:
    • Thrilled to be walking today at @WGUWashington commencement! #WGUWA17

  • Interested in a livestream of the ceremony for family and friends? On Saturday, May 6 at 10am PT, WGU Washington will provide a link to watch the ceremony in real time. Tell your friends and family to follow #WGUWA17 to see the livestream.

 

COMMENCEMENT PROGRAM

The 2017 WGU Washington Commencement program book will automatically include names of those who graduated from March 12, 2016 - March 24, 2017. The records department compiles this list of graduate names from processed graduation applications. Those who graduate after March 24th will be published in the next commencement book.

Register for the WGU Alumni Community to ensure you receive the latest commencement ceremony information.

2.

Review the commencement ceremony participation guidelines to find out if you are eligible to walk in the upcoming commencement ceremony. If you have any questions or would like to discussion your participation eligibility, please contact wacommencement@wgu.edu.

3.

Graduation Application
Graduating students who have completed all their degree program requirements need to apply for graduation. Please speak to your mentor about the graduation application process.

4.

Please complete the ceremony RSVP form to indicate your participation in the commencement ceremony and to generate your name card for the stage announcer.

5.

Place your cap and gown order.

6.

Review your commencement guidebook.

7.

Complete our graduate survey.
