WGU Joins Cyberwatch!
WGU recently became a member of CyberWatch. This membership will provide resources to empower our students with the necessary skills required by the information assurance (IA) industry.
CyberWatch, funded by the National Science Foundation, is an association of higher education institutions, businesses, and government agencies whose mission is to improve the quantity and quality of the IA workforce. Consortium members collaborate to share best practices, methodologies, curricula, course modules and materials, and provide faculty training and support to schools who want to develop an IA curriculum.
We are excited and proud to be a part of CyberWatch. They represent a positive contribution to the field of IA education.
A busy Cyberwatch calendar accompanies WGU’s new membership, providing news, events, and most importantly, educational opportunities for students and graduates of WGU’s Information Assurance programs.
Student development events are fueled by the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, the popular Digital Forensics Cup, and the Security Awareness Contest.
Be sure to check the ISA center home page and calendar frequently for more news and information.
