The university, which is being recognized in the Creating Environments that Enhance Student Learning and Professional Development category, is one of only 12 schools of nursing selected for this designation. Dedicated to excellence in nursing, the NLN is the premier organization for nurse faculty and leaders in nursing education. This prestigious award will be presented to WGU on October 2 during the NLN 2015 Education Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WGU to Host New Accountable Care Learning Collaborative
June 18, 2015: WGU announced it will host the new Accountable Care Learning Collaborative (ACLC). The new, nonprofit collaborative, the largest accountable care collaborative in the world, is being formed by the merger of Leavitt Partners’ Accountable Care Cooperative and the Brookings Institution’s ACO Learning Network.
WGU to Launch Journal of Competency-Based Education
WGU will partner with Wiley to establish a new scholarly publication, The Journal of Competency-Based Education. The Journal, which will be aimed at practitioners, policy-makers, and educational researchers, will focus on research in the area of competency-based education (CBE), but will also include documented case studies and best practices.
